92 Points in Wine & Spirits

Our 2012 La Bohème Pinot Noir received an excellent 92 Point rating from Wine & Spirits Magazine:

“Suave when first poured, this wine’s scent of dark cherries and an earthy bottom note keep it grounded and seductive. The palate is a quiet marvel of succulence, ripe and high toned at once. Its cherry fruit gives way to pomegranate before shifting back again, with mildly savory, mildly bitter tannins. For a duck breast, simply seared.” – Patrick J. Comiskey

Pinot in the City – New York City!

WVWA_NYC_banner-narrow2

2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the Willamette Valley’s first Pinot noir plantings. In the past half century, we’ve grown from a few brave families and their dreams to a world-renowned wine region. This April, 50 wineries are coming to New York City to celebrate the milestone and give our fans a taste of how far we’ve come.

Come see what all the Oregon buzz is about. Meet winemakers and owners from 50 of the region’s top wineries. Taste the Valley’s signature Pinot noir and Pinot gris in addition to rising stars including Chardonnay and Riesling. Enjoy Pinot-friendly hors d’oeuvres from City Winery to top off an evening full of wine!

A trade tasting will take place on April 14 from 12:00pm – 4:00pm. Visit WVWA for more information and to register.

Willamette Cares Food Drive

Join us to share the bounty of the season with our Willamette Valley neighbors! Together, Willamette Valley wineries have a goal to collect 200,000 pounds of food for donations to the Oregon Food Bank network this holiday season. The food drive begins November and runs until Dec 20, 2014.

Bring your donation to the Elk Cove tasting room and be entered in a drawing for a MAGNUM of 2010 Roosevelt!
