Please join Elk Cove Vineyards in celebrating the Year of the Boar!

According to tradition, the Pig is a lover of life who brings fortune and helps us to see the beauty in the world. This event will feature small bites created by our friend Rita You, previously of Lucky Strike restaurant in SE Portland. Rita’s home town is Chengdu, China where she learned traditional Sichuan cooking utilizing many different spices – including the curiously numbing sichuan peppercorn – to create complex dishes.

The menu will include  – Spicy Sichuan Dumplings, Beef Shank Salad, Guinness Pork Ribs and KungPao Chicken and some assorted Chinese pastries for dessert.

We’ll have a selection of vibrant white wines to accompany her delicacies. For entertainment, The White Lotus Lion Dancers will perform at 1pm. We’ll have live traditional Chinese music throughout the event and an ethereal lantern installation from HiiH Lights.

Another characteristic of the Pig is generosity, so we’ll make a charitable donation to Lan Su Chinese Gardens in Portland with each ticket purchase. Happy New Year!
