“Adam Campbell is one of Oregon’s top winemakers. That shows in this lively white, full of spiced-apple flavors.”
Spice-laced red and dark berry, cherry cola and floral pastille scents take on a smoky mineral quality with air. Shows a hint of musky earth on the palate, which offers appealingly sweet red and blue fruit, mocha and black tea flavors and a touch of allspice. Gains energy with air and repeats the floral note on an impressively long, gently tannic finish. 36% new oak.
Lively, mineral-laced red fruit, floral and cola scents are complemented by vanilla and woodsmoke nuances. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering bitter cherry and raspberry flavors that deepen and become sweeter as the wine opens up. Shows very good depth as well as energy and closes with solid, red-fruit-driven persistence and fine-grained tannins that add gentle grip.

“This well-defined wine mixes fresh flavors of apple, Asian pear and a suggestion of honeydew melon. It fits nicely between the fleshy fruit of Pinot Gris and the broader palate of most Chardonnays. This is confined, crisp and focused, a good choice for appetizers and lighter entrées.” – Paul Gregutt
Here is a textbook example of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Sturdy and dark-fruited, it’s a reasonably substantial wine, well balanced and showing light barrel influences of toast, coffee and smoke. Nothing too fancy, but varietally true.
“This opens with tart raspberry and blackberry fruit, then seems to lighten up quickly, adding salmonberry and rhubarb. The tannins are astringent and peppery, with a hard shell. More than the other vineyard designates from Elk Cove, the Five Mountain needs decanting.” – Paul Gregutt
Our 2018 Mount Richmond Pinot Noir has been honored with a 92 point score in Wine Enthusiast Magazine “This wine bursts in…
“The Clay Court features a mix of Pommard and Dijon clones, with the anticipated flavors of ripe cherries. Barrel aging has pumped up aromas of toasted walnuts and a whiff of burnt popcorn. The lovely fruit, with a nice tangy edge, is the star here, and sails smoothly through a well-balanced finish.”
“Adam Campbell’s Pinot Gris is one of Oregon’s best, year in and year out. A lush and vivid mixture of grapefruit, lemon curd and candied orange peel, this new vintage both surprises and delights.”
Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2017 Pinot Noir la Boheme opens with sweet spices, vanilla, tree bark and citrus peel aromas over black berries, black cherries, aniseed and dusty earth. It’s medium-bodied with an intense core of spicy fruits, a grainy frame and seamless freshness, finishing long and spicy. 700 cases produced.
