RESERVE PINOT NOIR
We only make a Reserve in exceptional years, selecting less than 1% of our Pinot Noir to make the best wine we can imagine, balancing diverse components from our best vineyard blocks. This wine is crafted from three barrels from our Roosevelt Vineyard, two from our Clay Court Vineyard, and four from our Mount Richmond West Vineyard.
Willamette Valley AVA
Barrel Treatment: 10 months in French oak
Total case production: 192
TASTING NOTES
Opening with cherry pie, black plum and cinnamon on the nose, this seamless wine carries intense flavors of cherry, blackberry and dusty tannin cocoa with finely integrated leather, fresh marjarom and tobacco on the finish.

GOODRICH PINOT NOIR
Goodrich is a 21 acre vineyard outside the town of Yamhill on the same marine sedimentary soil as our Winery Estate and Mount Richmond Vineyards. Planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in a high-density format, we purchased Goodrich in 2014 and continue to be impressed by the quality of fruit from this young vineyard.

At 800 feet elevation, it’s one of the highest vineyards in the Willamette Valley, giving it stunning views of the Coast Range Mountains and a long, slow growing season perfect for complex flavors.

ROOSEVELT PINOT NOIR
Named for our local subspecies of elk, Roosevelt was planted in 1993 and is our most prized vineyard site. A four-acre high-density (2100 vines per acre) planting situated just south of the winery, Roosevelt’s south-facing hillside slopes to a steep precipice overlooking the magnificent Williams Canyon.
Willakenzie Soil. Yamhill-Carlton AVA
Pommard clones
700 feet elevation. Best opened 2023-2034
Barrel Treatment: 10 months in French oak
Total case production: 396 cases
TASTING NOTES
With brooding dark cherry, pink peppercorn and pipe tobacco aromatics, this wine is concentrated and full with Italian plum, blackberry bramble and ripe raspberry on the palate alongside savory notes of clove, dark chocolate and orange pekoe tea.

WINDHILL PINOT NOIR
Elk Cove has a long history with Windhill Vineyard. We made our very first single vineyard Pinot Noir from this hillside vineyard in 1979. Farmed completely organically since Elk Cove acquired it in 1999, Windhill is a cool site whose slow ripening leads to unique spice components in Pinot Noir.
Laurelwood soil. Tualatin Hills AVA
Best opened 2023-2033
Barrel Treatment: 10 months in French oak
Total case production: 214 cases
TASTING NOTES
Open aromatics of blackberry, cedar and black pepper introduce a richly textured wine that evokes the forest with wild plum and black cherry alongside wafts of nutmeg and vanilla.

MOUNT RICHMOND CHARDONNAY
Our Chardonnay is hand-picked, then gently whole-cluster pressed to avoid bitterness. The juice is fermented in large puncheons and a mix of neutral and new oak barrels. We age in barrel for a full 12 months with some stirring on the lees after malolactic fermentation. This is our classic take on Chardonnay, one of the original varietals we planted in 1974 and grew for over 20 years.
Willakenzie Soil. Yamhill-Carlton AVA
300-500 feet elevation
TASTING NOTES
Scents of lemon meringue pie and ginger introduce a wine equally creamy and juicy with ripe pear, clementine and honeydew melon moving into vibrant citrus peel and ginger on the flinty finish.

CLAY COURT PINOT NOIR
The gentle southeast-facing slopes of Clay Court lay in the picturesque Parrett Mountain area. Its dark red Jory soil brings out signature red fruit components in Pinot Noir. Home to Elk Cove’s founders, Pat and Joe Campbell, just outside their door is the namesake tennis court and their enormous vegetable garden.
Jory Soil, Chehalem Mountain AVA
450-600 feet elevation. Best opened 2023-2033
Barrel Treatment: 10 months in French oak
Total case production: 278 cases
TASTING NOTES
With aromatics of cherry pie and clove, this wine opens bright and juicy. Its concentrated pie cherry and cranberry flavors lead into dusty tannins and a pithy finish of candied orange and cola.
