We love collaborating with our friends in beer – after all, it takes a lot of good beer to make good wine! Visit Pelican Brewery on the Oregon Coast to try this unique ‘beerjolais nouveau.’

“For Pelican’s fourth and final offering in the Coastal Collaboration series, we have partnered with Arch Rock Brewery of Gold Beach and Elk Cove Winery to create a groundbreaking beer-wine hybrid.  This remarkable idea was born in an epic meeting of the minds between Pelican Brewmaster Darron Welch and Arch Rock Brewmaster James Smith.  Starting with a pale lager base beer, and supplementing with Riesling juice from Elk Cove Winery, this beerjolais nouveau combines the terroir of Elk Cove with the clean toasty flavors of a classic strong lager beer.  Bright fruit and snappy acidity counterbalance the dry, crackery malt flavors.  Coastal Collaboration Volume IV offers up delicious flavors from the world of beer and the world of wine.   All the proceeds from this beer go to Snack Pack, a group that provides food to children on the south Oregon Coast.” – Pelican Brewing Company
