“A powerful Pinot Noir from Elk Cove’s most prized vineyard, Roosevelt, its steep south-facing hillsides offer ample ripening, evident in this wine. The aromatics are fruit-driven, ripe red and black berry fruits accented by barrel spice and crushed violets. The palate is ripe and does show a touch of heat. There are ripe fruit flavours of black plum, cherry compote and dried fig. Hints of pencil lead, cinnamon, and cola notes deliver the well-structured wine to its finish.” – Clive Pursehouse, Decanter Magazine
