Happy Harvest!
As I write, we are bringing in the first fruit of the 2024 vintage, Pinot Noir from our La Bohème Vineyard destined for sparkling wine. For months, we’ve trellised and pruned and thinned, enticing our vines to give the most intense flavors possible. Harvest is finally here, and all signs point to a classic cool-climate vintage.
This vintage is special – our family is celebrating 50 years of growing grapevines. Three generations of Campbells recently gathered, including Elk Cove co-founders Pat and Joe, their five kids (who all worked summers in the vineyard) and their 14 grandchildren (6 of whom have worked seasonally at Elk Cove) to reflect on how the Campbell family and Elk Cove have grown together. It’s been quite the half-century!
While my brother Adam and our amazing crew do the hard work of crafting the 2024 vintage, we invite you to peruse our Harvest Catalog. We aim to delight with selections from a trio of traditional method sparkling wines, to adorable “bitty bottles”, to our unique soil trilogy. Some of these wines are running low, so order early.
Thank you for supporting our family-owned and operated 100% estate, sustainable Oregon winery. Wine lovers like you are the reason we can put another vintage into barrel this harvest season. From our family to yours, cheers!
