Our 2018 Rosé was awarded a Double Platinum by Wine Press Northwest’s 20th annual “Best of the Best!” Platinum Judging:
“The continued collaboration among winemaker Heather Perkin and second-generation vintner Adam Campbell is stronger than ever. One of the Northwest’s largest offerings of rosé from Pinot Noir offers a gorgeously fun color and strikes the right balance. Notes of strawberry, Jolly Rancher watermelon candy, white peach and melon make this not only a crowd-pleaser but also a complete rosé.”
Our Rosé qualified by winning “best rosé” at the Great Northwest Invitational Wine Competition. This was the 20th annual Platinum Judging, a competition which evaluates the year’s most award-winning Pacific Northwest wines. To receive a Double Platinum rating, a wine must be unanimously judged by all members of the blind tasting panel as superior.
“The Platinum, a brainchild of columnist Andy Perdue, is Wine Press Northwest’s delicious path for all involved to help determine the year’s “best bottle of wine in the Northwest.”
In its infancy, the Platinum field was a collection of 146 wines made with Pacific Northwest fruit that had been awarded a gold medal at about two dozen competitions in North America during the year after Y2K.
My, oh my, how times have changed.
This year, there were a record 749 entries into the 20th Platinum Judging.
In terms of enjoyment, there’s never been a better time to be drinking Pacific Northwest wine…”
