7 Outstanding Oregon Pinot Noirs at $36 or Less

Willamette Valley Estate Pinot Noir BottleOur 2022 Willamette Pinot Noir was awarded an outstanding 92-point score and featured in the article 7 Outstanding Oregon Pinot Noirs at $36 or Less from Wine Spectator.

“Plump and generous, with raspberry and cranberry flavors that are accented with forest floor, clove and other dusky spices, finishing with refined tannins. Drink now through 2032.” – Tim Fish

“The quality of Oregon Pinot Noir, and the excitement around it, has never been higher, as wineries continue to bring out the best from myriad terroirs within the state’s acclaimed Willamette Valley. This week’s list is comprised of Pinot Noirs from the 2022 vintage, which looks promising despite not being as favorable as other recent vintages due to frost-limiting yields. These wines all notched 90 points or more on Wine Spectator’s 100-point scale and are worth seeking out for their relative value at $36 or less.

Among the top-scoring wines is a plump and generous Pinot Noir from Elk Cove. With a remarkable 20,000 cases made, this red combines estate-grown grapes from six vineyard sites, including three in the Yamhill-Carlton subregion as well as the nearby Tualatin Hills, Laurelwood District and Chehalem Mountains appellations. It captures the essence of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir with raspberry and cranberry flavors and forest floor and spice accents, all finishing with refined tannins.” – Aaron Romano, Senior Editor for Wine Spectator
