Vineyard Hike IV
September 15 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
FreeEvent Navigation
Enjoy the brisk morning air while on a hike with Creative Director and family member Anna Campbell! She’ll guide outdoor enthusiasts to remote parts of our Winery Estate, touring the vineyards while sharing personal stories about growing up at Elk Cove Vineyards.
Each hike is designed to explore different seasonal topics in viticulture, winemaking and family history:
- June 9th: Elk Cove’s early days & pruning/trellising of grapevines
- July 21st: Second-generation winegrowing & sustainable viticulture
- August 18th: Deep history of the property & farming for quality in Pinot Noir
- September 15th: 2024 harvest outlook & white wine viticulture
Hikes are mostly moderate activity level with some difficulty. We recommend sturdy shoes, sun protection and a moderate level of fitness for this rugged experience out in the vineyards. The hike is approximately 2 miles with hills and uneven ground. If you’d like to enjoy a tasting flight after, we strongly recommend making a reservation in advance for a tasting at noon.
