You may have noticed a new look to Elk Cove’s labels. Why did we make the change? It’s been over 20 years since we’ve made any design changes to our core wines, and during that time we have fielded many requests to modernize our look. We also want to make sure fans could recognize our bottles, so the changes are relatively subtle, rather than dramatic.
New for the 2024 vintage of our Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Rosé, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, & Riesling:
- More prominent elk honors our namesake, our local herd of Roosevelt elk
- 50 years seal replaces ECV seal to celebrate 50 years of winegrowing at Elk Cove
- More subtle outer frame gives the elk more room by adding negative space and keeps the focus on the central content
Of course, the most important thing about our packaging is the wine inside. Still, we hope you like the change in design. Have comments? Reach out to info@elkcove.com with your thoughts. Cheers!

Back Label Changes:
You may also notice a few differences with our back labels for the 2024 vintage. We changed the design in order to make room for a few important elements:
- 1% for the Planet logo: As certified members, we have committed to donating 1% of our revenues to environmental causes.
- QR Code: In the European Union, this QR code links to new ingredient requirements added by the EU in 2023. In the United States and in other locations outside the EU, the QR code links to our own website.
- CA CRV: The state of California now requires this mark on recyclable wine packaging.
