Winemaking & Viticulture
Adam Campbell,
Winemaker/Owner
Winemaker Adam Godlee Campbell joined forces with his parents at Elk Cove in 1995. Adam studied political science at Lewis & Clark College while working summers at the winery. When not doing blending trials or collaborating with other second generation winemakers, Adam can be seen tromping through the vineyards or playing ping-pong with his wife Carrie and their three kids, Georgia, Silas and Francis.
Travis Watson,
Vineyard Manager
Travis Watson has been Elk Cove’s vineyard manager since 2002. He does everything from planting new vineyards, to managing pruning and thinning, to heading the construction of our new fermentation halls. When not at Elk Cove, Travis spends time camping and doing archery with his kids, Tate and Hannah.
Heather Perkin,
Associate Winemaker
Heather Perkin has been with Elk Cove year-round since 2006. She studied winemaking at Adelaide University in South Australia and interned at several wineries in Australia and New Zealand as well as at Elk Cove. When she doesn’t have her nose in a barrel or her head in a tank, she can be found wrestling with her two young boys, sneaking in a date night with husband Andy and working on her fitness with running and pilates.
John Lundy,
Cellar Lead
John Lundy has been with Elk Cove since the 2013 harvest. He has been blending, filtering and, cleaning tanks for us in the cellar as well as overseeing the evening harvest crew of interns. When he is not pressing grapes or gathering samples for the winemakers, John enjoys seeing live music with his wife Laurie and keeping up with his two sons and new grandson.
Molly Snyder,
Production Logistics Coordinator
Molly fulfilled a longtime dream of working a wine harvest by joining the 2020 Harvest Intern team at Elk Cove and later rejoined the Elk Cove team in the spring of 2022. Originally born and raised in Santa Barbara, California, Molly moved north to attend the University of Oregon for her International Studies degree, studied abroad in Spain, and spent four seasons in Alaska’s backcountry, guiding rafting and hiking trips and even obtaining a Coast Guard license to operate small vessels. Molly loves chatting over charcuterie, eating gourmet sandwiches on hard hikes, and prefers the ocean but is learning to love lakes.
Andrew Scarlata,
Cellar Hand
Andrew joined Elk Cove for the 2022 harvest and soon after joined the production team full-time. At 15, Andrew began his first job at a local wine store in his home state of Connecticut. His time there sparked an interest in viticulture and winemaking which led him to a position on a vineyard in Virginia working with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Riesling, familiar favorites in the Willamette Valley. Outside of work, Andrew loves discovering new hikes, birding, and baking for the hungry production crew.
Evelyn Pacheco,
Cellar Hand
Evelyn joined Elk Cove team early in 2023, following her dream of becoming a winemaker. Evelyn was originally born and raised in Guanajuato, Mexico and moved to Oregon in 2015 to attend high school and learn English. Currently, she is attending college to study winemaking and viticulture while working on our production team. When she is not at the winery or in class, Evelyn loves to play chess, cook, have a good hike or lift weights.
