To celebrate our 2017 Harvest, we’re putting on a locally sourced dinner with a chef all the way from Australia, Michael Brine of A Touch Of Salt. The Australia connection is fitting because of Elk Cove’s many links down under: Associate Winemaker Heather Perkin grew up and studied winemaking in Melbourne, Australia. And Owner/Winemaker Adam Campbell once lived in Australia and is married to the fabulous Carrie Godlee-Campbell who hails from down-under.

Chef Michael Brine has created a menu using Northwest ingredients while trusting his tastebuds from tropical NorthQueensland, Australia. Some of the ingredients that he will be working with may not be familiar to him so he’ll be assisted by Chef Chris Holen of Astoria’s fabulous Baked Alaska Restaurant.

The four course Australia-inspired menu will of course be paired with Elk Cove wines and if we’re lucky winemaker Adam Campbell will take a break from the hectic time of ‘Crush’ to join us. This event is part of the Chef Outta Water Chef Exchange Program, which creates unique events that offer a truly outside the box dining experience. To learn more, check out this video.
