TASTING NOTES
Sweetly perfumed with pear, honeysuckle, and sugar cookie on the nose, this full-bodied wine is lush, almost oily, and intensely fruit-forward. Peach cobbler and mandarin orange on the palate are complemented by a savory minerality and lime peel on the finish.
OLD SCHOOL PINOT NOIR
Lots of Pinot Noir are selected for this wine based on the ripeness of the stems. When ripe, stems impart spice and structure and intensify fruit-forward aromatics. For this wine, we included pinot noir from three vineyards: Clay Court 66%, La Boheme 22%, and Five Mountain 12%.

TASTING NOTES
Generously spiced on the nose with plum, vanilla bean, bergamot, star anise and violet, this spicy wine is balanced by loads of sweet blue fruit with pomegranate, pithy apple peel and notes of candied persimmon offering a foil to the rustic tannins and soft cedar finish.

On a steep southeast slope in the Chehalem Mountains AVA, Five Mountain Vineyard has a view of five volcanoes in the Cascade Range. The original Pommard clone Pinot Noir was planted in 1978, and makes for pretty, floral wines with a deep, savory base. Five Mountain is home to winemaker Adam Campbell.

TASTING NOTES
With aromatics of cherry pie and clove, this wine opens bright and juicy. Its concentrated pie cherry and cranberry flavors lead into dusty tannins and a pithy finish of candied orange and cola.
MOUNT RICHMOND CHARDONNAY
Our Chardonnay is hand-picked, then gently whole-cluster pressed to avoid bitterness. The juice is fermented in large puncheons and a mix of neutral and new oak barrels. We age in barrel for a full 12 months with some stirring on the lees after malolactic fermentation. This is our classic take on Chardonnay, one of the original varietals we planted in 1974 and grew for over 20 years.

Named for our local subspecies of elk, Roosevelt was planted in 1993 and is our most prized vineyard site. A four-acre high-density (2100 vines per acre) planting situated just south of the winery, Roosevelt’s south-facing hillside slopes to a steep precipice overlooking the magnificent Williams Canyon.

Elk Cove has a long history with Windhill Vineyard. We made our very first single vineyard Pinot Noir from this hillside vineyard in 1979. Farmed completely organically since Elk Cove acquired it in 1999, Windhill is a cool site whose slow ripening leads to unique spice components in Pinot Noir.

Goodrich is a 21 acre vineyard outside the town of Yamhill on the same marine sedimentary soil as our Winery Estate and Mount Richmond Vineyards. Planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in a high-density format, we purchased Goodrich in 2014 and continue to be impressed by the quality of fruit from this young vineyard.

FIVE MOUNTAIN PINOT NOIR
On a steep southeast slope in the Chehalem Mountains AVA, Five Mountain Vineyard has a view of five volcanoes in the Cascade Range. The original Pommard clone Pinot Noir was planted in 1978, and makes for pretty, floral wines with a deep, savory base. Five Mountain is home to winemaker Adam Campbell.

TASTING NOTES

Fruit from Mount Richmond Vineyard is fermented in small, temperature-controlled steel tanks and punched down twice daily. After 10 months of aging in French oak, only the barrels that are most representative of the Mount Richmond profile are carefully blended to create a big, luscious Oregon Pinot Noir.

Goodrich is a 21 acre vineyard outside the town of Yamhill on the same marine sedimentary soil as our Winery Estate and Mount Richmond Vineyards.
