Chef Rita You of Portland’s once beloved Sichuan restaurant Lucky Strike will be preparing a Chinese New Year feast at The Suttle Lodge. Best known for her authentically fresh and fiery Sichuanese food, Chef You and her family will be cooking many dishes that longtime fans of Lucky Strike will remember, such as Beans and Beans, Dan Dan Noodles, Mapo Tofu and Spicy Dumplings with Pork, Shrimp and Shiitake.
The meal will be served family style in the great room of the lodge. Winemaker Wynne Peterson-Nedry, of Chehalem Wines, and Shirley Brooks of Elk Cove Vineyards, will cool down palates by pouring their wineries’ wines to pair with the meal.
