This Pinot Noir is comprised of fruit from the Elk Cove Goodrich Vineyard property, planted in 2007 and really starting to come into its own. Aromas offer ripe blue fruits, black tea, and eucalyptus, getting at both depth and classic Yamhill-Carlton character. The palate brings a complimentary depth to the wine. It is at moments ripe and round, yet offering earthy minerality that is backed up by black cherry and sweet plum.

A single vineyard wine club exclusive. Do yourself a favor and chill this pinot noir slightly, which helps to coax out notes of cherries and chocolate — iconic elements of a well-crafted pinot. Some warmth allows notes of oak staves, fresh thyme, and rosemary — and a touch of tannic bitterness — to grow in prominence, and while none of those are ever off-putting, it’s in the slightly sweeter moments where this wine really shines.
